Library: For the library, a hub for visiting scientists and researchers, the seating solutions included HÅG Tion, Connection Kuppel, HÅG Futu, and Profim Com. HÅG Tion chairs provided compact, adaptable seating with a small footprint, perfect for flexible use across library workstations. Profim Com stools and the modular Connection Kuppel offered less focused work based seating within the library, whilst HÅG Futu was supplied for the librarian desk.

Science Gateway: The workshop space, designed for visiting school groups, needed dynamic and robust seating to withstand energetic, high-turnover use. HÅG Capisco Puls stools were chosen for their unique design and versatility. These stools encourage movement and active sitting, making them ideal for interactive educational activities.

Study Rooms: In more sensitive research areas, which were not photographed, CERN opted for HÅG Creed chairs. Designed for extended use, these chairs offer exceptional support and adjustability, ensuring the comfort of researchers during prolonged study sessions.

CERN’s commitment to sustainability was a driving factor in the selection of Flokk as a partner. Flokk’s designs prioritise recyclability, use of eco-friendly materials, and energy-efficient manufacturing processes. For example, the HÅG Capisco Puls and HÅG Tion incorporate recycled materials without compromising durability or aesthetics.
